Warwickshire Vision joins North Warwickshire Citizens Advice to support people living with sight loss

North Warwickshire Citizens Advice has partnered with Warwickshire Vision to provide tailored advice and support for people living with sight loss through its Mobile Advice Centre.

Warwickshire Vision is a local charity dedicated to helping blind and partially sighted people across Warwickshire live independently. The organisation offers practical rehabilitation, advice, emotional support and specialist services to help people adapt to sight loss and continue living confident, independent lives.

As part of the new partnership, one of Warwickshire Vision’s specialist Rehabilitation Officers will attend selected Mobile Advice Centre sessions, providing practical guidance to people with visual impairments on managing everyday tasks in the home.

Their support includes advice on making smart meters, heating controls and thermostats more accessible, as well as helping people balance energy efficiency with the lighting requirements that are often essential for those living with sight loss. They can also offer practical tips and techniques to make everyday activities around the home safer and easier.

The partnership has already seen Warwickshire Vision join North Warwickshire Citizens Advice at the ‘Cuppa with a Copper’ event in Curdworth on 26th June, where local residents were able to access advice from both organisations in one place. They also attended North Warwickshire Citizens Advice’s Centre for Warmth on 2nd July, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about the specialist support available.

By bringing Warwickshire Vision’s expertise directly into local communities through the Mobile Advice Centre, the partnership aims to ensure that people living with sight loss can more easily access the advice, information and support they need.
