07 Apr North Warwickshire Citizens Advice launches new ‘Centre for Warmth’ to help the community with rising energy costs
North Warwickshire Citizens Advice is proud to mark a year of exceptional impact, having supported thousands of local residents through the ongoing pressures of increasing energy costs. Over the past year, the organisation has provided specialist energy advice to 4,822 clients, helping households address challenges such as unaffordable bills, disputes with suppliers, energy efficiency concerns and access to financial assistance.
Through this dedicated support, clients collectively benefited from an impressive £3,988,677 in financial return. This was achieved through successful grant applications, benefits maximisation, the correction of incorrect bills, debt write-offs and securing more affordable or manageable energy arrangements. These outcomes demonstrate the vital role North Warwickshire Citizens Advice continues to play in helping people stay warm, safe and financially stable during a particularly difficult time for many families.
Building on this success, the organisation is delighted to announce the launch of its new Cadent-funded Centre for Warmth, opening on 1 April 2026. The centre will serve as a dedicated hub for energy support, offering free, expert guidance to help residents manage energy usage, improve home efficiency, understand gas safety and access schemes designed to relieve financial pressure.
The Centre for Warmth will operate Monday to Friday, from 10.00am to 2.00pm, providing a welcoming, accessible drop-in service for anyone in need of advice. With trained energy specialists on hand, the centre aims to empower individuals and families with practical solutions that reduce energy costs and enhance overall wellbeing.
North Warwickshire Citizens Advice remains strongly committed to strengthening community resilience. The new Centre for Warmth marks an important step forward in ensuring local people can access essential support at the time they need it most.
